Ferrara 14/03/2026 – Una serata fresca ma carica di atmosfera, perfettamente in stile “Friday Night Lights”, ha fatto da cornice al debutto casalingo delle TXT Aquile Ferrara, che al Mike Wyatt Field superano i Marines Lazio con il punteggio di 27–17. Sugli spalti il pubblico estense si è progressivamente scaldato grazie all’intensità del gioco e a una gara combattuta, decisa nel finale dalla maggiore concretezza dei padroni di casa. L’avvio è favorevole ai Marines che nel primo quarto trovano il vantaggio con una corsa in touchdown del quarterback Morgan, trasformata da Impallomeni per il 7–0. Dal punto di vista tattico i laziali provano subito a stretchare la difesa estense affidandosi al talento dello stesso Morgan con passaggi profondi e un mix di screen pass e tunnel screen, soluzioni studiate per alleggerire la pressione sulla propria linea offensiva e sfruttare gli spazi lasciati dalla difesa ferrarese. Le Aquile però reagiscono nel secondo quarto con un attacco guidato da un Kraft particolarmente ispirato, capace di trovare con precisione i propri ricevitori e in particolare Pasquotto, autore della ricezione in touchdown che riporta in equilibrio la gara. Nell’economia offensiva estense merita menzione anche il lavoro di Capitozzo, prezioso nel dare equilibrio e continuità all’attacco. La difesa ferrarese contribuisce a cambiare l’inerzia del match quando Guerrato intercetta Morgan restituendo il possesso all’offence, che poco dopo sorprende la difesa laziale con una reverse spettacolare di Zack Wright per il touchdown del 14–7.
I Marines accorciano con un field goal di Impallomeni ma prima dell’intervallo la difesa delle Aquile continua a mettere pressione grazie anche a un sack di Taddia, portando le squadre negli spogliatoi sul 14–10 per Ferrara. Nel terzo quarto gli ospiti tornano avanti con Morgan che trova Cinelli in end zone per il touchdown del 17–14, riaprendo completamente la partita. Il quarto periodo diventa però il momento decisivo della gara: la difesa estense alza ulteriormente il livello di pressione e l’attacco trova le giocate che indirizzano definitivamente l’incontro.
Protagonista assoluto Zack Wright, nominato MVP del match, che prima riporta avanti Ferrara con uno spettacolare ritorno di punt in touchdown e poi contribuisce in modo determinante alla gestione offensiva che porta alla seconda segnatura su passaggio Kraft–Pasquotto, fissando il punteggio finale sul 27–17. Al termine della gara il GM delle Aquile Raffaello Pellegrini ha espresso soddisfazione per la prestazione della squadra, sottolineando come si sia trattato di una vittoria ampiamente meritata in una partita intensa e combattuta fino all’ultimo quarto, che ha visto affrontarsi due formazioni molto ben organizzate, ottimamente allenate e ricche di talento, capaci di offrire al pubblico del Mike Wyatt Field una serata di grande football.

Aquile Pull Away Late to Defeat Marines 27–17
Ferrara, Italy 03/14/2026 – A strong fourth-quarter performance lifted the TXT Aquile Ferrara to a 27–17 victory over the Marines Lazio Saturday night at Mike Wyatt Field, as the home team secured a hard-fought win in front of its fans. The Marines struck first in the opening quarter, taking a 7–0 lead when quarterback Morgan scored on a rushing touchdown. Kicker Impallomeni added the extra point to cap the opening drive. Lazio’s offense attempted to stretch the Aquile defense throughout the first half, using Morgan’s arm on deep throws while mixing in screen and tunnel screen passes to relieve pressure on the offensive line and attack space created by Ferrara’s aggressive defensive front. Ferrara answered in the second quarter behind quarterback Kraft, who found a rhythm through the air. Kraft connected with Pasquotto for a touchdown reception to tie the game at 7–7. The Aquile defense then created the next key play of the night when Guerrato intercepted Morgan, giving Ferrara possession deep in Marines territory.
The Aquile capitalized shortly after with a reverse by Zack Wright, who broke free for a touchdown to give Ferrara a 14–7 lead. Lazio responded with a field goal by Impallomeni, cutting the deficit to 14–10 before halftime. The Aquile defense continued to apply pressure late in the half, highlighted by a sack from Taddia, as Ferrara carried the four-point lead into the break. The Marines regained the momentum in the third quarter. Morgan connected with Cinelli for a touchdown pass that pushed Lazio back in front 17–14, setting up a decisive final quarter.
Ferrara delivered its strongest stretch of the game in the fourth. Zack Wright, who would later be named MVP of the game, ignited the Aquile with a spectacular punt return touchdown to regain the lead. Moments later, the Ferrara offense struck again when Kraft found Pasquotto in the end zone for their second touchdown connection of the night, extending the Aquile advantage to 27–17. Kraft led an efficient passing attack throughout the night, spreading the ball effectively to his receivers, while Capitozzoprovided valuable balance to the offense with consistent contributions that helped sustain drives.
Defensively, Ferrara delivered several key plays, including Guerrato’s interception and multiple pressures on the quarterback, with Taddia recording a crucial sack as the Aquile controlled the closing stages of the game. Following the game, Aquile General Manager Raffaello Pellegrini praised the team’s performance, calling it a well-deserved win in a matchup that remained competitive deep into the fourth quarter.
“This was a hard-fought game between two well-organized and well-coached teams,” Pellegrini said. “Both rosters showed a lot of talent, and it was great to see our players respond and secure a deserved victory in front of our fans.” The win gives the TXT Aquile Ferrara another strong early-season result and an important home victory at Mike Wyatt Field
